The CT-ET main unit - IoT in practice

A smart device that is easy to use

The MESH radio router modes

Each CT-ET device can operate in the router mode, creating the MESH radio network of the IEEE 802.15.4 standard with the frequency of 2.4GHz. The TIMATE radio network does not interfere with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth networks. Using the radio network, TIMATE cards send information about the working time to the central station and then to the server. Cards receive the information about the working schedule and tasks as well as messages and other data. The radio range of the router is up to 50 metres in open spaces.

The Ethernet mode of the main unit

Each CT-ET device can operate in the mode of the main unit connected to the Ethernet network. Radio routers communicate with the main unit and transmit the card data from the MESH radio network. The radio transmission does not interfere with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth networks. The main unit transmits encrypted data to/from server using the Ethernet network.

Data security

Data transmitted via the radio network and the Ethernet are secured by the hardware based AES-128 algorithm. In the case of problems with the Ethernet network, main unit buffer the data in their memory for a period of time. The devices are equipped with tools for detection and diagnosis of interferences and attacks.

Easy mounting and protection against sabotage

The main unit case can be fixed to a wall with mounting screws and it also has brackets for mounting on a mast. The case is resistant to dust and water (IP67). One main unit and the adequate number of routers is installed in a facility. The devices are placed under the ceiling or on walls at the distance of approx. 30 metres from one another. They communicate in the mode of a MESH radio network and TIMATE cards connect to it. The main units are protected against sabotage, they detect motion and location, and they send information about changes to the server.

Remote configuration

Main units can be managed remotely from the level of the TIMATE application and, additionally, in the local network via the integrated WWW panel or a terminal with AT commands. Pairing the main unit with the radio network is really easy and requires the use of one PAIR button. The main unit informs about its status with a LED. Tools are available for automatic monitoring of the entire installation.

Three types of main unist

CT-ET-POE is a main unit powered via POE or the 12-48V power supply, installed in halls and offices.

CT-ET-OUT is a main unit with a radio signal amplifier increasing the range up to 100 m, intended for outdoor use.

CT-ET-POR is a POE-powered main unit equipped with an RFID card reader
